Privatel EEO Program, Compliance Statement and Plan


A. Introduction

  1. Privatel desires to practice equal opportunity with respect to all activities concerning its employees.
    1. Management has promulgated these guidelines on a strictly voluntary basis.
    2. The existence of these guidelines however should not be construed as an admission either in whole or in part that the Employer has engaged in any activity whereby minorities, women or others have been or are presently being underutilized, concentrated or discriminated against in any way in violation of federal, state or local fair employment practice laws.
  2. In developing and implementing this policy, Privatel has been guided by its established pre-existing policy of providing equal employment opportunity.
    1. All targets which Privatel has established shall not be considered rigid, inflexible quotas but rather reasonable objectives to be achieved in good faith.
    2. The use of goals and timetables by Privatel shall not discriminate against an individual or group of individuals with respect to any employment opportunity for which he, she or they are qualified. Privatel does not sanction the discriminatory treatment of any person.

B. EEO Policy Statement.

  1. It is the policy of Privatel to provide equal employment opportunity all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex in all employment and personnel and actions, including recruitment, evaluation, selection, promotion, compensation, training and termination.
  2. The officers of Privatel will review, supervise and evaluate the company's program on a regular basis, making improvements as needed to ensure a successful workplace.
  3. Employment decisions shall be made after considering the principles of equal employment opportunity (EEO), and it will also be our policy to promote the realization of equal employment opportunity through a positive, continuing program of specific practices designed to ensure the full realization of equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex.
  4. Promotion decisions shall be consistent with the principle of EEO; qualifications for promotion shall consist of merit and ability.
  5. All personnel actions and programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, layoffs, etc. will be administered in a nondiscriminatory manner, and without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex, provided the individual is qualified to perform the work available.

C. Reaffirmation of EEO Policy Statement.

  1. Privatel:
    1. Shall continue to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons, and to continue to recruit, hire, train, promote and compensate persons in all jobs without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
    2. Identify and analyze areas of its employment process so as to further the principles of equal employment opportunity.
    3. Employment decisions in all areas will be made on the basis of furthering the objective of equal employment.
    4. Individuals will be upgraded and promoted on the basis of their abilities, skills and experience.
    5. All employees who are qualified, as well as those who are qualifiable through training will be considered for promotion without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex.
    6. If layoffs occur, they will be based on nondiscriminatory policies.
    7. Personnel decisions affecting employees in areas such as compensation, benefits, layoffs, etc. will be made and implemented without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
    8. All employee benefits will be administered consistent with federal law.
    9. Steps will be taken so that personnel and management are fully apprised of the Company's EEO policy which will be discussed and reviewed in supervisory and management meetings.
    10. EEO posters (in both English and Spanish) will be and remain placed in conspicuous locations, and shall inform employees of their EEO rights and their right to notify the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal Communications Commission or other appropriate agency, if they believe they have been the subject of discrimination.
    11. A notice will appear in bold type on the employment application informing prospective employees that discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin or sex is prohibited and that they may notify the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal Communications Commission or other appropriate agency, if they believe they have been the subject of discrimination.
    12. New employees will be apprised of the Employer's equal opportunity policy at employee orientation and management training programs.
    13. Employees are encouraged to bring questions, comments or complaints with respect to the company's EEO policy, to the Human Resources Department.
    14. Management has communicated and will continue to publicize that it does not tolerate or permit harassment of any employee because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin or for any other reason.
    15. When Privatel advertises in newspapers for prospective employees, the advertisement includes the EEO solicitation: "We are an Equal Opportunity Employer." In addition, we will recruit in accordance with the requirements of FCC Rule 76.75(b), (d) and (e).
  2. Actions by employees inconsistent with this policy will not be tolerated and may lead to discharge.
  3. Privatel board of directors have been appointed as the primary management responsibility for ensuring full compliance with this policy.

CONCLUSION

It is our policy not to discriminate against persons because of race, color, religion, national origin or sex in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion and other terms and conditions of employment, provided the individual is qualified to perform the work available. All employment decisions shall be consistent with the principle of EEO. All promotion decisions shall be consistent with the principle of EEO, and only valid qualifications will be required for promotion.
